MaWhoo is a South African singer-songwriter with a distinct sound that sets her apart from her peers. MaWhoo has been pursuing a career in music since she was 11 years old, but she was turned down by radio stations because she was too young. She opted to model until she could find a way to break through, and in 2018, she was put in touch with super-producer Heavy K. She went on to record "Umshado" with him, as well as two tracks with Scorpion Kings on their pioneering album "Once Upon a Time in Lockdown."
